The main use of a Pi filter is to reduce high-frequency noise and ripple from a power supply, in order to provide a clean and stable DC voltage to sensitive electronic components.

This filter is a Butterworth Low Pass Passive Pi Filter topology with a 50ohm load.

The -3db cutoff frequency is ~50MHz
