Mosfet is 30n06l. 2 ohm resistors are approximations of TEC1-12706 modules. Freewheeling diode is 10A10. Signal from Arduino at standard pwm frequency. Ripple in Peltier modules is limited to recommended <10% @ duty cycle 5%-100%. Snubbers are to compensate for use of slower diode.

"recommended <10%" really? What is the problem with 100% ripple? Anyway, you can simplify it from your symmetric approach to a asymmetric while 2.5mH are added together to a single 5mH coil. Anyway were do you get this resistance free coil? Guess 500mOhm is not to pessimistic for a coil like this and this will be a very expensive coil. I think there is no other way to increase the frequency drastically in kilo range e.g. 30kHz and going down in inductivity. Now the perfect load against ringing is 645mOhm which you come close with 1 Ohm. Anyway take also on this an eye.
