I like the idea of this, but with simulators like EC we can often miss the crossover time problem where one Mosfet is turning on while the other Mosfet is turning off. In reality, that split second is likely to allow a passage of high current which may blow a component. Special bought CMOS components compensate for that problem, but here there is a danger worth mentioning when mains level volts is involved.
