After differents comments I made a few modifications. - Command circuit is supplied by 5VDC source (typically electronic command). - 1st slave circuit is supplied by 12VDC source (car battery for instance). - 2nd slave circuit is supplied by 230VAC RMS source. - All slave poles are used.

,DPST .....

There are 2 SPDT outputs that are working simultaneously. Same as 1 DPDT

Here I don't use the 2nd pole of each SPDT. But they are still available.

Some would say that I must have a very boring life because I have spent ages looking at this schematic, and I still can't decide what to call it. There are two throws, but since they are joined together it takes away any independence, so I am inclined to view it as a single throw (ST). There are two double poles which make 4 poles where two of them are unused. The double pole action connects the lamps together as one point of a parallel load, so it might be described as a single pole action (SP). So should we call all this a SPST action? or should we instead refer to the switch itself rather than the action due to the wiring. If we prefer the switch itself without the wiring action then we need to bear in mind that it is two SPDT switches and not a 'bought' DPDT. Now that I have wasted some of your time and added to the confusion perhaps we can get some other views....it's driving me crazy. Perhaps if billoute720 had made a schematic where the throw and pole actions were all independent then things might have been clearer.

In my humble opinion, the relays are effectively s DPDT. There are two poles. Each pole can connect to one of two contacts. Hence, DPDT.

(Don't know how that extra s got in there)

And yes it is the wiring that connects them that makes them function as DPDT.

Q.E.D. I hope :-)

Actually, let me rephrase this. The relay contacts are each SPDT. The fact that the relay coils are in parallel make it effectively a DPDT switching function. The wiring to the relay switch contacts has no bearing on it. Now, 2ctiby, let's both get a life lol.

Yes, we could disagree and argue heatedly forever about nonsense just to win an argument...I am already continuing in that vein this morning ...guess where!

Only command circuit is important. I drew a slave circuit only for example. Thanks to you Robert_Kidd for explainations ☺

You are very welcome 😀

Ok...you win...after much reflection and listening to what you both say, I could disconnect all sides of this assembly and buy this as a DPDT switch.....accepting a lost game is not so bad when it's all just good fun. Valid truth of an argument should be the judge rather than determination to win.

That's very kind of you thanks... I like to continue learning because I know so little... and fair analysis with admission of errors helps.
