Burning 100W at the PMOS is a little optimistic and would need a big heatsink.

Clearly !. Or you could be smart about it and use a switching pre-tracking regulator and keep the heat to 5 or 6 watts. And is how all high power & quality lab supplies would work. Tracking switcher followed by linear regulator.

Sure, but this is not what you demonstrating here.

So could you demonstrate more, Double-ended Forward Converter mains pre switcher perhaps plus this circuit in the sandbox ? Then please do,, this shows only 1 small portion of a complete design. This demonstrated how the current control mechanism maybe implemented only. Did you really think this is a complete supply surely not. Then why the ridiculous comments ?

Let me tell you how i read posts in EveryCircuit. I see a headline and open the thread. Then i read the description and if i am still interessted in implementation, then i open the circuit. You can follow so far? I check the circuit according to what i was told by the description. After that i close the circuit and i might leave a comment of what i have discovered. Anything wrong with that? NO i dont think so.

Then as per headline ((( Adjustable 5A high side current limiter))) AND NOT SUPPLY. you should implement your own philosophy and kept your comments to what pertained to the headline or description. But your ego has to comment even if its a deciduous one then try to bully others into aquessing to your comments so you feel like a bigger cog than you really are. So yes there really is something really wrong with you and your comments. A simple review of how you treat others on here with your Narcissistic comments and attitude is available for all to see. How many times have the community told you to get a life and go away ?. It must be obvious even to hurz that there's something wrong with you by now.

Pip don't mind hurz, he's just trolling you. Keep it up, you're one of the best circuit designers here. Just one thing I noticed. The circuit is somewhat prone to oscillations, if the voltage dividers at the right are not perfectly balanced. I do agree about the MOS though. You can always substitute it with some kind of switching regulator or something. The possibilities are endless, but the workspace in EC is small :D

Pipo, you still have a trauma? But please update next time your description and make it clear enough. The description plus circuit counts and not your blabla later in comments. This strategie is somehow stupid. So come down Pipo.

Oh dear ! Only hurz could be so stupidly ignorant. So for the Narcissistic hurz. 100w really isn't a problem to begin with cpu's and gfx cards regularly dissipate much more with quite reasonable heatsinks even without a tracking pre-regulator. Hurz adjust the SUPPLY VOLTAGE to 11v

http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5298458075856896 and dont forget the magical hidden "current limiter before the limiter, limiter, switcher, regulator" LOL my sarcasmus is just triggered by your aggression. Be smart and publish better circuits and better fitting description. Or even better, test you bullshit before you post it!

No magical anything needed. Yes maybe i should colour it with crayon's or maybe leds. Ok hurz if i have the patience i DUMB IT DOWN even further just for you. I forgot how small a cog you really are. I must try to remember what it's like for you been so frustrated with a unfulfilled, uneventful life a small man has.

pip nice circuit, but be open to suggestions on improvements, I sometimes feel hurt and picked on when if I sit back and view it again I can see where it's coming from. It's too easy to start slinging matches, don't do it.

You'd surely win the grumpy contest. Just admit to yourself that maybe some other people know a lot about circuits too, and are probably either being creative or deliberately altering the design as they see fit, to match a substitute circuit, if you know what that is. Cuz all I see in Pip's circuit is a substitute circuit of a rather large device, that won't work here in EC, due to its big size, but will surely work the same in a substitute circuit.
