Shake phone. Takes a few secs to settle. The features of v2.1 are: - Very linear rise due to the constant current source. With a normal resistor the rise will be more exponential rather than linear. - Adjustable Frequency - with the 56K potentiometer you could somewhat vary the frequency although its primary function is to adjust the start of the oscillator. Mainly frequency readjusting is done by changing the cap value. - Adjustable Amplitude - with the 2.2k potentiometer you could vary the amplitude from 0V to 2V. - Added an emitter follower stage to keep the load from disrupting the oscillator. This guarantees more stability than usual plus a higher load handling capability. - A tip - the output amplitude is defined by how much of a voltage drop the diodes have. Now the output is around 2V. Adding one more diode will get it up to 2.5V. One more and it's 3.2V. You could get it as far as 10V but keep in mind that doing so you somewhat decrease the linearity of the rise.
