Charge the capacitor. Flip the switch. Not sure exactly how this works. If you can explain it, leave a comment. FYI: Adjusting the viewing speed seems to affect the absolute amplitude and duration of the wave. I can't explain how/why. I can only assume it is a bug in the software.

I think the viewing speed issue is probably a general problem simulating the continuous changes of an analog circuit on a computer which can only operate in discrete steps.

I'm not exactly sure how it works, particularly as the oscillation doesn't decay, but the general principle is the inductance of the transformer interacting with the capacitor. It's like a spring and a weight. BTW, I switched the power to AC. It reduced the current to something reasonable, more reasonable than my inverters, but boosted the oscillation voltage to absurd levels. :) http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6399389729030144

The oscillations will decay eventually. It's weird though.. If you set the simulation to 1s/s, you get almost nothing. Set it to 500ms/s, you get much lower amplitude and obvious decay. So I'm not sure which best represents reality.
