Find the Inductance or the capacitance of a tank circuit by using the formula F=1/(2*PI*(sqrRoot(LC))). You need a known Capacitance or Inductance to find the unknown component. An Arduino can be used to provide a pulse to get the tank circuit into oscillation, and then the Arduino measures the Period of the resonant pulse to determine the Frequency, the Inductance or the Capacitance. The switch simulates an output from the Arduino, this output charges the capacitor, the charge starts circulating back and forth in the tank circuit producing resonant oscillation which can be measured. The the tank's oscillation is sampled by the comparator and the output is the pulse to be measured by the Arduino.

Probably, noise will dominate.

selman, did you fix my circuit? What is it supposed to do now? I am not making an oscillator, read description!

Use hysteresis.

Use hysteresis? What are you trying to do with it?

Works fine on the bench! ;-)

My bench has steel in it; it picks up noise (+°∆°+)

@ferlop, an old engineer doing resonant tank experiments? Why don't you try more exotic circuits? Don't take this as serious, just asked.

Your bench has steel, hmm....well, you need a new bench?

I mind my own and don't try to prove anything to anyone, just having fun, and don't really care otherwise!

READ THE CODE OF CONDUCT! Pay attn to unsolicited feedback!........ Yeah, I have noticed that EC has become a heaven for antagonizers . Instead of being helpful they relish irking people, wasting everyone's time and effort for no reason!

Thank you for your feedback; it really is constructive. In one perspective, I am dumb for no reason. Unsolicited feedback/frequent emojis aren't so welcome, cuz this ain't a place to chat and spend yr time. That's absolutely right. Thank you for rectifying me. I will behave more decently. Moreover, I will delete my previous 'spam' comments if you wish. A change will be expected in no time. Regards.
