⭐️History Of Relays⭐️

In 1809 Samuel Thomas von Sömmerring designed an electrolytic relay as part of his electrochemical telegraph. American scientist Joseph Henry is often claimed to have invented a relay in 1835 in order to improve his version of the electrical telegraph, developed earlier in 1831. It is claimed that English inventor Edward Davy "certainly invented the electric relay" in his electric telegraph c.1835. A simple device, which is now called a relay, was included in the original 1840 telegraph patent of Samuel Morse. The mechanism described acted as a digital amplifier, repeating the telegraph signal, and thus allowing signals to be propagated as far as desired. The word relay appears in the context of electromagnetic operations from 1860. **Touch logic source to actuate relay** Credits: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relay Enjoy...😎

Please don't assume ulterior motives. I have provided the required link and the reason for doing so. What's the problem?

I have further provided other users with the pertinent sourced information, a simple link related to the post, and important information to the readers why material should be properly sourced. Your accusations and hostility are of no interest to me. I'll not engage you on that level.

So, how did my comment get taken down, was it reported or what? Can someone explain the process of how these blocking happen? R_K, you took your last comment down, why?

I guess someone considered your comment to Max as being inappropriate but I do appreciate your circuits?...👍

Robert volunteeringly removed his comments as they were no longer relevant - they would’ve seemed out of place amongst blocked comments.

But Max's first comment was not really offensive, but still removed, l can understand if somebody found my mild banter offensive if they are the sensitive type, so, if you found it offensive please say so, nothing wrong in that, but at least own up to it!!!!

No argument from me, the idea is to maintain the positive atmosphere we’ve all enjoyed for well over eight months. Robert summed up an emerging problem which previously plagued EC for many years which was swiftly dealt with by the admins hence the blocking of numerous comments.

So, are you saying you reported it or not?

I never reported it, but I’m pleased that the admins reacted so quickly.

" RASPBERRY !!! " If l wanted to report someone, they would know about it because l would tell them l'm going to report it, not that l ever would report anyone, that's not my style, but there are to many Big girls blouse's around that do the reporting of others without owning up to it, so let's hear from the one who reported it, or are they confirming that they are a big girls blouse?

Hi all, my take on this for what it’s worth. Yes, i did take my comments down as they served no purpose any longer. I assumed @digital had removed the offending posts himself which wouldn’t have been unreasonable as we’ve all had too much crap like that. In my experience you can delete immediately on your own circuits. If you report a comment on someone else’s circuit it is replaced with ‘reported’. I presume everyone sees it as ‘reported’. How long it takes for it to be removed I’m not sure as I do not monitor it carefully enough. Can’t remember what your comment was @Tedski, although I know it was supportive. Assumed @digital had either deleted yours in error or because it looked out of place with the other deletions. I may have this wrong.

Well, if it wasn't you two and l didn't do it, so your saying it was max? Could be max as he went into orbit when l wound him up with my little joke, so max, was it you? I don't think so!! Digital, you know that place where the sun don't shine, well, stick your patronising crap there mate, you are full of it!!!

@Tedski = @digital_electronics = many others …. Just read their comments as if it was one person talking…. This guy is such an arrogant one.
