Voltage controlled current source, load resistor from 0 to 100 ohm, the current flowing thru the led will remain constant with a fixed gate voltage of 3.4 volts, change drain resistor from 0 to 100 ohm,  collector current remains at  20 ma. The variable voltage input can be from 0 to 3.4 volts, output changes from 0 to 20 ma.
