You fried the led! 49.9 amps! In EC if the LED has an X in it, it means too much or too little current. An LED needs about 20 ma. You can put a resistor before the ground or LED lower the amps. For more ideas search for other MUX circuits posted in EC to some with just a single voltage source.

I agree that the circuit could have been more optimised. Just wannet to implement the basic idea of mux with simplicity.
