Plasma toroid drive

HELP!! is this circuit realistic?
How can i get rit of the diode, so no current will flow back thru the fet? L1 creats a boost voltage, but not for the duration the fet is off. how can i fix this?

I wanna build a plasma toroid driver, but then effeciën. the 2µH is the toroid coil. 
the 100pF forms with the Coil a LC. The 10nF is a voltage divider. I want to use for the 100pf doornob caps becauce the hight current and voltage. the FET will be a GAN fet for high freq for ex:  GS66506T-E01. It will be driven by a hf fet driver and the opamp will be  a hightspeed comparator. ( somthing that can handle the negative voltage)
