Better use a class c amplifier or an emitter amplifier. They possess lesser distortion.

And what is an emitter amplifer. Class C are as common emitter mostly. Class A can also be an common emitter. Class B or AB mostly common collector but can also be common emitter. @fatcat2, your input is totaly irritating and please clarify

Oops, I was thinking about a collector modulator using a Class-C amp but insead of that, I simply wrote ''Class-C amp''. I meant a high level modulator; make an AM amplifier with it and it would never ever work. By "emitter amplifier", I meant a modulator circuit in which the modulating signal is fed to the emitter of the transistor. 😅

you should look around how the different types of circuts are called. Emitter circuit is definitive the wrong name. You think we can understand you, but you use your own invention of naming conventions, this does not work and you get into trouble! Feeding the emitter with a signal is maybe a "common base" circuit, when the base is fixed, common. Again, learn what the three standard "common" circuits are and how they called.

I meant a common emitter circuit in which the modulating signal is fed into the emitter.

a common emitter, as the name says, the emitter is fix in its potential, there is no way to inject a signal. Check a standard common emitter without resistor NPN where the emitter is connected ti ground, how can you inject here a signal? Impossible

and you will find a "common base" circuit, or fatcat on stackexchange. Google common circuit for BJT and try to understand them how they are called correct for better communication and people can understand your drivels. Thanx

There are 2 sources. So for determining whether it is CE or CB, I cannot take the phase difference as a clue. But the base being not grounded and the emiter section being bypassed, I thought that it is in CE configuration (idk). It's not a drivel, ok? A false misinterpretation must not be treated so "badly". Thx.

a linear RF mixer does not exist. Invent one and you might get the nobel prize

Mixer definitions:- (i) Electronic mixer which is a linear multiplier. (ii) A thing which mixes or adds things. At the first glance, people might think of the first definition but I meant the 2nd definition. The circuit I found out at stackexchange was an algebraic summer. Then why is it titled as AM modulator?
