With some digital buffering (credit hurz) and correctly summing the 2 adc's
Green trace (hidden under orange) is input signal, orange is 8bit output, blue is 4bit. 
Would be better to use opamp to sum outputs but just trying to show circuit working in its simplest form

Nice work, pity about the lack of trace time adjustment, but adjusting the input signal towards 10 Hz gives somewhat of an overview.

Yeah speed up it starts under sampling, there's a fine balance between sampling resolution and sampling rate
