Frequency Counter

The frequency is measured in kilohertz. Unfortunately, the simulation will slow down if you choose a very high frequency (like 100 kilohertz). This circuit would work in real life, but because the simulator slows down to make any frequencies visible, I had to set it to measure in kilohertz. (You can set it to measure in Hertz if you want. Just adjust the bottom logic train to 1 Hertz. The speed of the simulation won't work though.) The highest frequency that you can measure with this circuit is 4.095 megahertz (4095 kilohertz). For the frequency that you choose, there will be a delay corresponding to that frequency. If you choose 4095 kilohertz (maximum allowed), then there will be a delay that lasts roughly 4095 seconds. 5 kilohertz will only have a delay of less than 5 seconds. There might be future versions of the Frequency Counter that will work better than this one.
