I think that's for stabilisation Zener diode?? But why? O.o

OMG... Why are you even trying to get stable 12v in at short in out and Zener set to same 12v?? M8 try light bulb at output and 240v in AC rectified to get stable 12v :) Have fun!

4.7 uf capacitor filters the ripples from input.

I used this circuit to drop voltage from my dc booster as i don't have 78xx series regulator.
