I know this works on my bread board. Why doesn't LED flash.?

The 555 in here has too much voltage drop at the output and also keep in mind the simulation is create in a perfect world some component react differently in here than they would in real life. I have many circuit that I keep in the app for reference but they don't work in simulation but work in real life. Hope this helps.

@backupcpu, but beside many little issues, this is not an 555 issue, its the behaviour of LEDs within simulation. A 20mA LED driven with 2.7mA will glow bright in real. This is just a visualisation matter within everycircuit, at which current leven the led starts to glow. So watch always the current!

Look like it works just fine, just change the time scale to 200ms

@ccrider52 increase your simulation time from 1ms/s. Also decrease your resistor value in series with your LED. 1k is only about 2.7mA which is barely enough to luminate with. 20mA is usually peak for most LEDs

the resistor is too high for the led . try 220 omh
