The basic circuit design is correct, but the transistors are being driven into saturation. The transistors have a gain of 100, so increase the base resistors to give an input/output resistor ratio closer to 100. Also the capacitors probably could be a bit smaller. Time base at 1 second will give a indication of what will happen in the real world. Inserting Leds may help, being diodes they can help to stabilize the circuit by stopping some of the ringing, they also can be a visual indicator of what is happening. The resistors can be adjusted for a suitable led current. If working at higher frequencies or lower currents, diodes might be a better option. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4565634820341760
