This isn't working. The lion's share of the current is simply going from the 6 Amp PS to the 4 Amp PS.

You may have misunderstood the purpose of each of those two type of supplies. They each are full power supplies each in their own right. It appears that you might feel that one type supplies voltage while the other supplies current. They both supply voltage AND current.
