Ok guys wittling has only been on a few weeks.....time for a few constructive guidelines now perhaps. Here is suggestion 1.....hmm I am a little stuck here...more help please.

Clever circuit. NPN is connected in common base mode.

No, both transistors are saturated and don't work correctly. I don't even know what he wants to do, i might be of some help
