"C" Circuit for Single Coil Latching Relays Use a single coil latching relay without a separate negative rail to trigger the coil in reverse. Use reverse output from a capacitor instead. If using a push button, the button needs to be held until the capacitor is fully charged and until it's fully discharged. I'd suggest using a DPDT On-On push button in that instance. https://everycircuit.com/circuit/4848364570804224 Capacitor value: L is coil inductance and R is coil resistance C > ( 4*L ) / ( R^2 ) This simulation is for an application using a lithium battery. The relay isn't latching in the simulation but the coil is bipolar.
