Wait for it to unstabilize first, it pulses the light bulb at 200Hz with a lot less high current draw time, thus saving energy and flickering faster then you'd notice

U must be aware that it overall will translate to dimmer ambient light around bulb and this will be hardly noticed cuz bulb will be looks like somewhat bright but nothing can be seen in this light and this brightness will not iritate your eyes like full powered bulb. This is issue of some cheap energy saving bulbs whose looks like bright but overall whole room is dimm like hell and nothing can be seen.

But the chopper is running with a 1:1 ratio, right? So average power is about 1/2 doesn't matter what frequency

Bypass cap for half power so it (hopefully) doesn't effect ambient light (as much).
