Cheap way to compensate for crossover distortion in Class AB amplifiers

You can use an OPAMP to eliminate crossover distortion in a Class AB amplifier by putting it into the OPAMP's feedback loop. However, this results in poor bandwidth and frequency response.

There is still crossover at the op-amp's output. Probe it and take a look. To fix that, you need to use diodes in this manner:

Well, the output is not taken at the OPAMP, since the crossover seen there compensates for the bias voltage of the base-emitter junctions of the transistors. The output is seen at the 4 ohm resistor.
