An adjustable frequency counter designed to quantify an oscillating analog signal frequency and convert it to binary. The system is based on adjusting the voltage at the non-inverting input (-) of the comparator (op amp) to set the level of detection (triggering) for the oscillating signal. To do this simply alter the slider position above or below the input waveform and witness the effect on the output signal. Downstream applications: With further digital controls (count enable & clear) this circuit could easily be used to count analog signals and convert them to binary data which can be read into a microcontroller for more advanced signal analysis.
