Nice example, always try to adjust the resistors for 20mA led current, then use a base resistor combo for 20mA / transistor gain, use real world resistor values. Real time on the display is 1 second, (if you display a circuit that you built this is what it would look like.) Always adjust the capacitor to a value that you would like to see if you built the circuit. Remember you cannot see a flash rate much above 20Hz. ; http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5626180089937920

To make the curcate start flashing right away in the simulator i had to slightly offset one of the resistors used to discharge the capacitors, in the real world this should not be a problem.If you want to adjust the flashing rate adjust the two 50k resistors or the capacitors.
