Use N-channel MOSFET as switch to turn on some real life appliance powered from 12V DC. Bulb is used for load emulation. Because N-channel MOSFET can fully open only when gate voltage is larger than drain voltage, example can switch between two gate voltages. In real life circuit use bootstrap voltage generator or charge pump as gate voltage source.
Second bulb at right is only for reference to display desired current when MOSFET is fully open.
Circuit at bottom depicts different type load level control with power MOSFET.
To simulate real life power MOSFET in EveryCircuit, set junction width to 0.5-2 mm. For MOSFET with body diode(s) add appropriate components around MOSFET.
