I’ve tested it with my oscilloscope before, works pretty well, just a little specific with what size inductor you use, which was kinda expected anyway *shake to start* Also, one really nice thing about this oscillator, is you don’t have to fear it burning out the transistor or inductor if it doesn’t work, therefore it’s pretty safe to just play around with different inductor values even while it’s turned on, so you can just experiment with several different inductors and/or resistors until you see the sustained oscillations if you like.

I don't fully understand how it works but it's cool and simple.

Yeah it’s definitely pretty cool and so simple. Basically what happens is, the transistor can only turn on through the resistor, so when it does this also pulls the inductor to ground after a very short amount of time (but NOT instantly), and so after that short specific amount of time, the inductor is conductive enough that it pulls the transistors base voltage below its 0.65-0.75v threshold and causes it to almost turn off, but rather instead of turning off completely (which can’t happen because there’s not enough delay to allow that, and everything happens so quickly), it produces a pure sine wave! However with this circuit, you have to use a specific range of inductors, because too small, and there’s not enough delay; and too big and there’s too much -meaning the inductor is slow enough that transistor is able to self adjust quick enough to prevent the oscillations.
