Cat Whiskers have many sensor nerve endings.  An article on back cover of April 2015 AWAKE!  (jw.org)  mentions sensor studies of cat whiskers as possible controls for robots,  navigation in the dark, ext.  With logic or analog control and switches with long arms some great minds may think of something the world needs.  Maybe that novel switch for you new project.
