Simple Boost converter 5v to 13v with 555.

First attempt at doing a boost comverter driven by a 555 and a NPN MOSFET.

Learning as a hobby. Any comments are appreciated.

Created it today, it does convert 5V to 13.5V. I did change some values but kept the frequency at ~17KHz. The issue is once I add a low resistance load (PC fan for example) the voltage drops to about 3.6V. Any suggestions to make it more stable with a load?
