Bipolar transistors in parralel is only possible if you measure them before or even better buy matched ones from manufactures. Additional would be some little emitter resistance a good idea to equalyse differenzes in transistor gain

I just love taking reduced amperage to gaining amperage that way, I always think that helps.

Add a 0.1 ohm resistor on the collector of each transistor you have in parallel. Then you dont have to worry so much about matching. Have made several power supplies doing this. One with 16 3055s in parallel. Had to mount those in a forced air tunnel for cooling. Love power supplies
