Project 15. Transistors As Switches

Maxitronix 330in1 Electronic Lab, with bulb replacing the 7-segment LED, which is not properly simulated in this app. This transistor is biased to operate between the extremes of cutoff and saturation, meaning it's either full-open or full-shut. Forward-biasing the base-emitter junction shuts the 'switch', lighting up the bulb.

In what way fo you think a LED ‘is not simulated correctly in this app’?

Please see my "Magic LCD Display" for your answer. I occurs to me that maybe this is simulating an LCD, not a display made up of LEDs like I originally assumed. Either way, it's PFM.

I looked and commented. Led simulation is fine.

As did I. It's an LED based 7-segment display, and is not simulated properly

Incorrect.

@h_kain, what everyone is trying to tell you is, to save space, none of the ICs in this simulator show their power or earth connections. Check the rest of the amplifiers, logic and gates out, you will see that it is true.

Absolutely right with the exception of the 555, which does show ground and Vcc.

Ah, right, there has always got to be an exception...

So true ...
