The AC voltage represents the music signal from your phone or a amplifier. So the LED is blinking to the beat of the music.

A phone normally outputs from 50mV to 1.2V RMS. Atleast my phone does.

Also, its called an audio spectrum analyzer.

@ssh Well both my phones give me approximately 500mV peak to peak

@ViolationMad I guess all devices output different voltages, interesting. By spectrum analyzer I mean like hes trying to achieve some sort of analyzer to represent a voltage, I dont think Im explaining myself very well or I have something confused.

@ssh spectrum would be over frequency domain tho. I know what you mean but I can’t think of the name neither.
