Sziklai voltage dropper 120VAC to 5VDC

Sorry mate, gotta agree with ~76.5 watts. The supply is pulling the same current as the load for starters. 667mA * 120Vrms is 80W, 667mA^2 * 8ohm is ~3.5W (or 667mA * 5V). Hopefully I didn't make an obvious mistake either.

On another note, thanks for actually setting the source amplitude right. Way too many people seem to think 120VAC and 120 amplitude are the same thing.

I know, I see that and it urks me, but yeah, now I see what you say about the power wasting, have you seen my simple zener diode voltage dropper?

It is labeled 5.05V 1.26A Power Supply :)
