Explain me the circuit please

:I was working with op amp and I got these waves in the output....... Please explain me why! I am new in this field ^_^

The Op-Amp has a huge amount of amplification. The input is over-driving the output, from rail to rail (+15 to -15 volts of the hidden power supply). Take that spare 1k resistor you have there and place it between the input signal and the - input of the op-amp. That will give you a gain of 1. Then try it again.

Then go and lookup op-amps and gain adjustment, in Wikipedia.
