Power factor Correction circuit using boost converter operating in the discontinuous conduction mode, open loop control. The switching frequency for this simulation was reduced to allow an entire input period to be displayed. The output voltage is boosted to 400V DC, with a resistive load of 400 watts. For an optimal operation in the power factor correction, an additional input filter can be used, which is not used in this example.
