Service manager is walking around shop supervising numerous workers and mechanics. Who is working, finishing a job, or done and idle? If we group three colored light bulbs per worker then, Red could mean indefinitely busy, yellow almost finished, and green done and idle.
At a glance the manager knows workers status and frees up manager's work load for other jobs.
Perhaps two work lights on could mean the worker needs service manager or another signal?
