Hey @Sine, instead of darlingtons, try using IRFP250 power mosfets. Little bit fiddly to set up, but much more power

BAM! Flip that switch and get the crap slapped out your face- lol! Now This, is a power blinkie! Nice circuit man- I see you put into action what @rk was talking about, with the small caps/big rstrz. That's workin mighty fine. Yeah I have another one on deck but I'm not pulling the power out of it that it wants to. It calls for power transistors but I dunno how, or if we can even emulate them here <=^/ I've got real ones complete with specs but that doesn't do much good- hfe here doesn't go below 100. You guys know a way around that?..

Yeah you can set HFE below 100 in EC, use the fine adjust buttons on the forward beta. But check your datasheet, eg MJL3281 has a HFE of 175 and can sink 15A; and the base can sink 1A. So at full tilt, the HFE is really only 15. Best way I've found is to build a real circuit, bias the transistors off and on and measure the Vce to work out the on resistance.

what transistors do you have

Hmm, lemme see... I got some BD139/140, TIP31/42/120, I know there's a couple 3055's around here somewhere. A bunch of randoms that I've yanked outta scrap- been meaning to go thru those and find out what I got..
