Here is a really simple demonstration of KCL; where the current flowing through the resistor is irrelevant to the actual resistance value. This is due to the currents at the top node being summated and split. therefore; as long as the resistance RATIO between the current-dependent current source, and the fixed resistance stays the same- so will the currents.
Change the resistance as much as you like - the current will remain solid.
