A diode is a semiconductor device with two terminals, typically allowing the flow of current in one direction only. Diodes allow current to flow only in the forward direction. Semiconductor diodes are formed by a PN junction. The most common type of semiconductor diode is the silicon diode. Semiconductor PN junction diodes can be formed from materials other than silicon, such as germanium, selenium, and a host of semiconductor materials used in light emitting diodes (LEDs). Please note the electrical characteristics of LEDs are the same as normal diodes. Enjoy...😎
