This is a basic 555 timer IC circuit used to generate PWM signal, Which is fed to N-Channel MOSFET. The MOSFET should be selected according to the maximum load Voltage and current drawn by load, This circuit can also be used to DIM lights, as long as you choose right MOSFET, any kind of lights can be dimmed
