IR adapter for smartphone

You can use your smartphone as universal remote even if your phone doesn't have IR blasters. Just build this simple circuit.... Use 940nm IR LED instead of that Red LED and replace the signal generator with 2 terminals(not the ground) of 3.5mm jack.... Now install "zazaremote" app and insert the 3.5mm jack... Zazaremote generates audio signals... This circuit will convert that signal to IR signal...

Just install the app..... Insert the 3.5mm jack.... Then launch the app..... Add remote....

If you launch the app before inserting the pin.... It won't work....

Ser you say replace signal generator with two terminal but I have a confusion about signal generator in given circuit I am never sucsses to find signal generator In given circuit only five componants present 1st:CLK/on off voltage sourse 2nd:DC voltage sourse 3rd&4th: two transistors 5th:IR LED so please tell me which whas have to replece by two terminals ,and ser i have old sony tv your circuit can connect this please reply ser.Thank You For Your circuit

I made one and works like a charm 👌 I used two 3V battery (6V) as power supply, I putted all inside a tictac box hahaha pretty cool

If you already have IR blasters you can use your phone as universal remote. But this circuit is for those who don't have ir blasters. If you dont have ir blasters in your phone when make this circuit and use your phone as ir remote. @kavitaji
