Compares voltage if within window range of reference voltage and sends either High or Low output voltage, when voltage input is either outside or within the reference range. It works vice versa depending on terminal arrangements of the Comparator IC. To operate, adjust the potentiometer to adjust the voltage input feeds to the Comparators. There are two Comparator Circuits that monitor the inputs from the potentiometer. In this Circuit, the reference voltage is set by two voltage divider to a window range of 4v and 6v. The Left Circuit turns on the left Bulb whenever the input voltage is outside the reference voltage window. It turns low whenever input voltage is within reference voltage. The Right Circuit acts opposite of the Left Circuit. Helpful Formula - you can adjust the upper and lower voltage limits on the voltage divider by changing the resistor value with following Voltage-Resistor relationship formula. Voltage Divider Formula Vout = Vin (R2 / R2 + R1) R1 & R2 Relationship with Vin and Vout R1/R2 = (Vin - Vout)/Vout Vin - is the supply voltage ⚡ that we want to divide. Vout - Is the output voltage that was reduced or devided by the two resistor circuit. R1 - Resistor next to Supply voltage that we want to divide R2 - Is the Resistor going to the ground.
