Base 10 -> 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 

Binary    -> 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1  (1s)
                  0 0 1 1 0 0 1 1  (2s)
                  0 0 0 0 1 1 1 1  (4s)

The top left DIGITAL IN is to ADD ONE NUMBER... you may notice that the clock then counts  out odd binary numbers.  ADD ONE and Clk, when left on, create some interesting combinations.
