Test circuit must start with switch closed. Open switch and capacitor supports load until discharging to a certain voltage. The control circuitry then charges capacactor and cycle repeats. Play around with supply, threshold voltages, and load to see how it affects how long each cycle takes. At 1V discharge, 100uF and 5mA load it lasts for 20ms and scales linearly with load and capacitance.
