Calculate the Current flowing at 3 Kilo Ohm and 330 Ohms Resistance? Solution: Current @ 3KiloOhm BY KVL assume Si=0.7Volts 10V-(3Kiloohm*I3)-(0.7V)=0 Current @3 Kilo Ohm= 3.1mA V2 Node = Vs-Vdrop @3 Kilo Ohm = 10V-(3.1mA*3Kilo Ohm)= 700 milli Volts Current @ 330 Ohms 700 milli Volts/ 330 Ohms = 2.12mA * Note that the simulation by approximation is equivalent to the Calculated values without Internal Resistance on the Diode. * You may get the actual values per simulation by summing 5 Ohm resistance in KVL loop. *KVL LOOP WITH INTERNAL RESISTANCE of 5 Ohm 10v-((3KiloOhms+ 5 Ohm)*I3)-(0.7v)=0 I @3Kilo Ohm= 3.0948 mA V2 NODE= Vs-Vdrop (3 Killo Ohm*3.0948 mA) V2 Node= 715mV Current @ 330 Ohms I@330= 715mV/330 Ohms I@330= 2.168mA or 2.17mA
