Good exploration...here are a few more things to chew over along these lines... http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5232121788760064

@CalebJohnsn, this is a bad comperason, cuz the load must be in both cases in collector or emitter. You compare two different types of circuit. Thats not fair for thr PNP, and Mr. 2cent cant help here to make it better, as usual.

The know-all Hurz spoiling efforts as usual...He could not consider that you may have been looking for equality of current through your lamp.

Mr fail-all for 2cent at best performance.

Come on boys, cut out the fighting. hurz is right, and the fix is simple, what is not simple is that you need more circuitry to make valid comparison. The simple fix; http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5435345950998528

@BillyT... Caleb said that he was exploring the differences. My setup, his setup, your setup, and the Hurz suggested setup are all part of that requested exploration. You are wrong to say that Hurz was right compared to me here. Your setup is different with the lamp next to the negative supply terminal, but Caleb was not after such a 'fix', he was exploring to see what happens in different setups. Hurz' attitude was very wrong. My setup was showing how various aspects change if the lamp current were to remain the same in each....just one of many explorations...and not a wrong technical arrangement.

While you crying like a baby, I have repaired two devices. You are an gradless imposter. Keep up your hate against non-academics and me!
