I'll share a couple hard luck cases from my "Circuits Without a Home" file. First we have case# 502. This poor little fella used to dream big- he wanted to help those hot-shot processors in complex calculations, and one day become a star in the professional bull riding arena. But that's not likely to happen- you see, he's just two RTL NOR gates configured to function as an ordinary OR, so there's no real reason for him to ever be built. It is sad, but that's just nature I guess...
