Flip the leads of the power source and remove the diode. Don't really need it as it is already dc, and all it is doing is dropping the voltage, which doesn't need to be done, it does this because there is some internal resistance in the diode. Also raise the voltage to 1.5 volts for the rated voltage of the lamp. This power source would be more like an AA or AAA battery in real life.
