Cool idea but u will have problem to find proper mosfets with so small turn on voltage to not introduce cross distortions. Next one audiofans will curse you to introduce transformer in THOSE PLACE..... it's profanation it can be only used in tube push-pull output stage . That's the tradition.

Transformers are used even in audio but only without ferromagnetic core - air transformers. Good luck finding one with such parameters :D

Lol did u ever see a mains 230V air cored transformer ?? I have such beast lol and u would not believe a 1:1 ratio inductance 4,7 henry and whole thing is somewhat very fancy shaped to minimize cross capacitance. It's used as part of external equip of Epstein 25 device. It's used to take out ferromagnetic cores parameters such as hysteresis loop remanence drive off volt-sconds needed and many other. As air cored is perfectly linear so is used as refference curve source to whom all measured samples are compared to make output value . It's even not so big. As ordinary 50va transformer but having pooor power capabilities and tragic coupling coefficient so even it's one to one winding ratio output rms voltage is 100 volts where input is 230rms. And 2.5 kohm coil resistance of 38 thousands turns each lol

Haha, I tore a US microwave apart and stole the Gunn diode, step up transformer, and a .47uF 2100VAC Cap haha, microwave cannon here I come :D
