10pF is a little to low to be visible beside 5pF each pin will have already without connecting anything. Anyway, max frequency of a 555 is about 500kHz. 100 Ohm discharge impedance is also to low, stay at minimum 1kOhm. Why pump 30mA into the base of transistor if the transistor just need to drive a 20mA LED?

OK, still open the question of why the transistor if base current is higher then collector current. 555 can also drive up to 250mA. So actually no need for an extra component like a transistor.
